Where we come from…

Parents

Much of what Peak Devo is today is because we are parents of racing young people. We have endured the challenges of figuring out how to engage this challenging genre of sport. We have heard the passion of our kids as they yearn to grow in MTB racing. We are passionate to see our kids flourish in the sport they love. Our own experience is something we share and build from…together.

Youth Racers

Our kids were built a little different. They press into the fear and accomplish what others won’t even try on a bike. They pick up shovels and dig in the dirt to make the features they long to launch from. They dream of riding, and it’s what drives them to be who they long to be. They see speed & determination as the only option for what satisfies their mountain bike desires. They hope for the podium, but relish in the journey to get there just the same.

Coaches

From former pros, to passionate people riding bikes, we press into our vast perspectives and experience to care for and drive our young racers to the next level. We don’t just see the podium as the only way to succed as a young racer, but we use it as a tool to drive them to be better athletes, and hopefully human beings.

A little history…

Many of the first racers to join Peak Devo got their start riding with junior mountain bike clubs around Colorado Springs & the Pikes Peak Region. Some formed small riding groups or joined racing teams from the broader options in Colorado and even nationally.

In 2022, some parents and a few of these young racing athletes decided to form a small team under the banner of a local shop in Colorado Springs. They called themselves the Routes Gravity Racing team.

In 2023, the team decided to formalize and extend the invitation to others in the area who shared the same passion, but didn’t have the same path or opportunities in front of them to leverage. And so, Peak Devo was formed. It was founded with a little Endurance, and a lot of Gravity, but in the end, it found it’s way to providing a sense of belonging for many youth racers who longed for speed and growth in progressive riding.

Currently (January 2024), we are excited to be moving into our second formal year of growing young racers and their passion for the sport. We are excited to see where it all goes from here.
